Chelsea Wesnofske is an Athens area native and received her B.A. in Political Science from UGA. Currently she is working on her M.A. in Geography and the Urban and Metropolitan Studies certificate. Her current research uses a mixed methods approach to analyze issues around food access and food sovereignty in Athens. She also works frequently with an Athens-based nonprofit in their community garden and farmer’s market projects. Prior to this job, Chelsea was a teaching assistant in the Geography department.
When she is not on campus, volunteering, or doing research, Chelsea enjoys growing, cooking, and especially eating food! She loves hiking with her husband and dog, and she tries to travel as much as possible.
